Like most overhyped English products, Bazball is largely unoriginal but carries all the English characteristics that make it one of the most hated nations in the world.
Nothing against you but bazball is essentially hype created by the players first and then picked up by the media, a good argument that I came across(by jarrod kimber) was, these outlandish comments made by players like chasing 600 etc were not made for the public but for the dressing room of both teams, just to give themselves a false belief that they could do it, and if it does come off once in 10 chances, it's a success.
One thing which is actually quantifiable and not just hype is England has been bowling better than any other team in 3rd innings (barring the ind series, but teams come to die here, nothing out of ordinary), they have figured out a way to pack things up quickly in 3rd innings(even on those flatties in pak) which needs to be studied and not forgotten amidst this bazball chaos.
The likes of Mourinho's Chelsea or Ferguson's United would say these things but they weren't arrogant statements, they were just better. One famous example is "Lad's, it's Tottenham". United were lost 0-3 when Ferguson came in the dressing room and instead of discussing tactics, that's all he said. And we won 5-3.
One such famous story from ipl is from 2017 when rcb restricted kkr for 130 odd, gambhir in the dressing room dashed out a scolding to the players saying he'd announce retirement if they lost this match, and this led to the historic rcb 49 all out. 49 all out of a team which had likes of kohli, gayle, abd, watson, kl rahul.
On paper, and cricket isn't played on paper of course, but to my amateur eyes (I don't follow cricket as much as football or other contact sports like politics), this English team is more talented than the depleted Indian one.
Depleted? Yes. Less talented? Maybe, maybe not. People will always have their biases about newer and older players but one thing which is not being talked about enough is that ashwin has underperformed massively in this series, since 2021, indian batters don't have much to show for, trio of jaddu, axar, ash have been bailing them out. Hope that ash returns to his form in remaining 3 innings.
On a side note, rohit's pr deserves a raise, they've protected him from much deserved criticism about is captaincy and batting.

As an aside, I can assure you that PR doesn't work. Not for cricketers at least. Ash did do well today.
